OVERVIEW

Withings, the French company leading the health connected revolution, launched its smart devices ecosystem in Japan in April 2015, and chose Kartz as its partner for PR in Japan.

Our goal is to increase Withings’s brand and product knowledge towards Japanese audiences, and help them also become part of the revolution.

CONCEPT

As a pillar of the “La French Tech”, Withings’s launch on the Japanese market had to come in with an impact. Away from the usual hotels and conference rooms, our launch event was located in the heart of an old elementary school, transformed in a creative exhibition space. Our event gathered Japan’s leading tech media for a brand and product presentation and introduced an original showroom, placing the products of the Withings ecosystem is an apartment-like setting, for a more natural experience.

Later this year, for the launch of the long-awaited Withings Activite Pop, a smart watch combining design and activity tracking, we proceed to jack a 30 meter wall in the Omotesando station, home to Tokyo’s latest trends, in order to present an original mural of “A day with Pop”.

We believe combining strong storytelling with a solid creative and PR activation is the key to achieve success for a new, foreign brand in Japan
