Overview
Bunkyo Gakuin University is a university located in Bunkyo, Tokyo. The university enrolls many foreign students of different countries. However, foreign students attending the university were relatively unaware of the danger of earthquakes and other natural disasters in Japan.
Concept
We proposed a passport-type inforgraphic designed to be carried around conveniently. We created it in multiple languages, and we wrote it to be easily understood.
Results
The initiative was published in“The Nikkei,” one of the most Influential newspapers in Japan. The infographic won multiple design awards such as the 2017 Good Design Award , Tokyo Fire Department’s Local Disaster Prevention Award, and the PR Daily Infographic Excellence Award. Additionally, the infographic produced a major response that resulted in Bunkyo Gakuin University and Bunkyo ward entering a joint agreement for disaster response measures.
